Road station
unnamed / illegible, no. C
Twenty-five Roman miles beyond the municipium of Rusazu, the road through Mauretania reaches an unnamed stop before the colony of Saldae, today's Béjaïa. The Roman register of routes runs from one town to the other with nothing in between, but the geographer Ptolemy lists a place called Vabar between them, perhaps the missing name. The kink in the road line that marks the stop may also simply point to difficult terrain along the way.
