Listen to the story
Malichi stands on the map's stretch of Asia beyond the Sea of Azov, north of the Taurus mountains. It is probably better read as the name of a people than of a settlement, yet it is lettered in plain black rather than in the red capitals usual for peoples. It has been linked with the Parnaci, and compared with the Parni, whom the geographer Ptolemy places in Margiana.
