Amyrni stands in the part of the map given over to Scythia, and its identification places it in the area of Kerch, on the Crimean shore. The name appears nowhere else in ancient writing. It is probably the name of a people, although, unlike most peoples on the map, it is written in plain black letters rather than large red capitals.
