Carisia is an island among the Mediterranean islands of the Tabula, a small shape drawn in red. Its name has almost faded away, and only a few letters, something like isi, can still be made out above the island. The full name survives thanks to a printed edition of 1598, which reads Insula Carisia, while a copy made in 1753 already shows just the same fragment.
