Mountain

mountain, no. 84

Listen to the story

A huge range without a name surrounds a lake in the interior here, and the Latin note written nearby may well belong to it: these mountains skirt a marsh, like the Maeotis, through which the Nile flows. Above it lie Cyrene and its port Apollonia, and one road on the map runs towards the range and simply ends.
