Mountain

mountain, no. 109e

Listen to the story

Along this long piece of the Taurus, between Caesarea, now Kayseri, and the road down to the Cilician Gates, the red road line vanishes for several stretches. Either the copyist forgot it, or the base line of the mountain symbol was meant to serve as the road; one distance figure has even slipped underneath the mountains.
