The Taurus begins its long run across the map here, with a first unlabelled piece above Perge and Sillyon in Pamphylia. It gets in the way of the roads: the red line from Iconium, now Konya, breaks off as it crosses the mountains, and a distance figure was moved so that it would not run over them.
